Sarkari Photo

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 22, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Sarkari Photo ("we", "us", "the Site") collects when you visit sarkariphoto.in, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the Site you agree to the practices described here.

1. Your images never leave your device

Our photo and signature tools run entirely in your web browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. When you select a photo or signature to resize, crop, compress, or stamp with a name and date, the file is processed locally on your own computer or phone. It is never uploaded to, stored on, or viewable by our servers or by any third party. Closing or refreshing the page discards it. Any name or date you type into the stamp tool is handled the same way.

2. Information we collect

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, phone number, or exam details. We collect only:

  • Usage and device data, collected automatically through Google Analytics: pages visited, time on page, approximate location (country/city level, derived from your IP address), browser, device type, screen size, and the website that referred you.
  • Advertising data, collected by Google AdSense and its partners through cookies and similar identifiers, as described in section 4.
  • Server logs kept by our hosting provider for security and reliability, such as IP address, request time, and browser user-agent.
  • Information you send us, such as your email address and message, if you contact us.

3. How we use information

  • To understand which tools and exam pages are useful and to improve them.
  • To detect errors, abuse, and security issues.
  • To display advertising, which keeps the Site free.
  • To reply to messages and correct exam specifications you report.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Cookies and advertising

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You can control personalised advertising in several ways:

  • Opt out of personalised ads from Google via Google Ads Settings.
  • Opt out of personalised ads from other participating vendors at aboutads.info or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu.
  • Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The tools will keep working without cookies.

Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Where the law requires it (for example, for visitors in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland), we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.

5. Analytics

We use Google Analytics, which sets cookies (such as _ga) to count visits and understand how the Site is used. We look at this data only in aggregate and do not use it to identify individual visitors. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

6. Local storage

We use your browser's local storage only to remember your light/dark theme choice. No personal data is stored there.

7. Data retention

Google Analytics data is kept for no longer than 14 months. Hosting logs are kept only as long as needed for security and are then deleted. Emails you send us are kept until your request is resolved and then deleted, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. We never hold your images, so there is nothing to retain or delete.

8. Sharing with third parties

We share data only with the service providers that run the Site: Google (Analytics and AdSense) and our hosting provider. Each handles data under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

9. Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and similar laws elsewhere, you may have the right to:

  • ask what personal data we hold about you and how it is used;
  • ask us to correct, complete, or erase your personal data;
  • withdraw consent you have given, such as consent for cookies;
  • raise a complaint with us and get a response; and
  • nominate another person to exercise these rights for you if you die or become incapacitated.

To use any of these rights, email us (see section 13). We will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

10. Security

The Site is served only over HTTPS. Because your images are processed on your own device and never sent to us, the most sensitive data you use on the Site never leaves your control.

11. Children's privacy

Some exam applicants are under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children beyond the usage data described above, and the tools need no personal details. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will appear on this page with a new "Last updated" date.

13. Contact and grievances

For privacy questions, data requests, or complaints, email hello@sarkariphoto.in with "Privacy" in the subject line, or use our Contact Us page.
